let me explain the real situation.
For about one year we were working in a workgroup network. but I planned to install a domain controller and using exchange in order to improve our communication and collaboration. In past we were using a software for sharing a public contact. a client version of software were installed in every computer in order to add contact and update contacts.
everyone must use and update this contacts in network. (the contact holds our client information. Staffs are updating the contact or add contacts whenever needed.)
As I installed the exchange server 2007, I planned to import our previous contacts to our exchange server so everyone can use the contact in the network and also in owa.
I am familiar with the global catalog but it holds our internal contacts.
I am not new with windows server 2003 and Microsoft networks but I completely new with exchange.
What I need is a public contact which must appear in users outlook and OWA.
Can I create a user named "publicuser" and import the contacts to this user contacts and then share its contacts to everyone in the network?
my purpose is to create a public contact which everyone in company could access it.
Any help from your side is much appreciated.
Best regards,
S.T
