Hello,

The company I work for has just added a second Exchange server and would like to use a single webmail page to access both servers.  Unfortunately anyone who's mailbox is on the 2nd Exchange can't log in.  Externally they see the "page cannot be displayed" error and internally if the go to the webmail page, they are constantly prompted for their credentials.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

 Best practice says have all mailboxes on the backend server, but you can run it as is.

I looked at both our Exchange servers and neither one is set up to be a Front-End Server, both are back end servers.  Would 'promoting' our main exchange to a Front-End Server work, even though about 95% of our mailboxes are stored on it?

 I was reading a MS document on Front-End/Back-End Servers and they recommend the Front-End to have no mailboxes on it, and it is essentially the middle man between the internet and our main exchange servers.

like I said in my post, BEST PRACTISE says to have mailboxes on the backend.....  would promoting your main store to a front end work, well, probably, but I usually run my ship per best practises.... this would be your choice :)

 Why dont you just move all mailboxes to your main one, and promote the other to front end?
