Deleting user accounts in AD/Exchange 2007

    Good evening,

Have hit a problem with deleting users accounts and their exchange mailboxes. In Exchange 2003 you can do it all from AD. With Exchange 2007 you don't have that option. I need to delete just over 500 school user accounts which include the Ex 2007 mailboxes.

I can't seem to find a way to do both accounts and mailboxes in one go.....anyody know how this can be done.

I can't see MS missing this one out.

     Cheers

     Mick

Ignore my ramblings....have seen how it works....Yes

When you delete the AD account the email account is deleted automatically.....I've had ahrd day.

    Sorry, missed this post.

Just for clarification for others the mailbox is tombstoned not deleted so it is recoverable/redirectable for a shot time (can't remember how many days).

    cheers

    Thanks for that Andy,

Spent hours looking at the problem thinking I would have to delete the user accounts from AD then go thru Exchange and delete the mailboxes....so after trying it with a couple of users realised what was happeneing..Sorted.

    Cheers

    Mick
